Activate on another device.

For a Windows computer that can’t reach the internet. Enter your purchase key and that computer’s code here, download its licence file, and load it in Fair Copy Edit.

How it works

  1. On the editing computer, open Tools › Licence and activation… and press Copy the computer code. Bring the code to this device; a USB stick or a note is fine.
  2. Enter your purchase key, from your receipt, and the computer code below, then press Get the licence file.
  3. Copy FairCopyEdit-licence.fclicence to the editing computer, then choose Load licence file… in Tools › Licence and activation.

This page sends your purchase key and the computer code to Fair Copy Edit’s activation service, which checks the purchase with the shop. The page itself stores and logs nothing, and the licence file works offline.
